Mr Steve Taylor - Chair

I have been a governor at the school for over 10 years.  Both of my children attended the school, and it gave them a good grounding for their academic development.  The school has always been very close to our hearts.

I have run my own business’s for over 20 years, selling Photographic books as well as another cutting grass, lawns, paddocks and playing fields, as well as working part time as a photographer.

Mr Neil Marwood – Staff Governor

I have worked at Osgodby Primary School as a teacher for 8 years. It is a rural school with a family feel, but one that is also ambitious and progressive. My role as a teacher is set within a great team of people, who work daily to support children. My roles within the school are varied: from leading subjects such as Maths and History, to teaching a broad curriculum to Year 3 and 4 students, to also supporting trainee teachers as a school-based mentor. I have been a Staff Governor since the last academic year, and I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of the role. As a member of staff on the board, I can hopefully provide valuable insights into the life (and workings) of the school. My first-hand experience of school life at Osgodby means I can help and support others on the governing board. Everyone in the governing body brings their own set of skills, talents and personality to the role. As a teacher invested in the life of the school, I enjoy being instrumental in positive change within the school, making an impact to the lives of young people in our area. As an educator, children’s outcomes and development, academically, socially and emotionally are of paramount importance to me. My overall ambition is to see the school continue to grow and develop over the next few years.

Mrs Lauren Harker

My role on the Governing Board is as a Parent Governor. I have one child currently attending Osgodby School and have been fortunate to be able to see how the school delivers the curriculum through her eyes. I have a unique position as I am a teacher myself and have had experience in both secondary and primary teaching for over 15 years. I have been fortunate to see how children progress and eventually transition through the primary setting up to secondary. I believe that this knowledge allows me to be an effective governor as I am aware of the skills required by the children to be successful in both environments. 

I am most looking forward to working collaboratively with parents and teachers and watching the children flourish in a positive setting.

Mr Lee Alldrick

'My role on the Governing Board is Parent Governor which gives me the unique position of having a parental viewpoint of the school. Through the 3 children I have at the school I have first hand experience of the delivery of the curriculum and how the school is viewed through the children / parent's point of view.  Having spent a number of years as a volunteer at Osgodby and a member of the PTA, I felt I had the right experience to make a difference as a Governor. Having spent the last 24 years working as a complaint handler by profession I have vast experience of dealing with issues constructively, discreetly and seeing them through to a positive outcome for all involved. As Governor, I am most looking forward to ensuring the school continues adhering to the excellent values I see every day and it's drive to release pupil's full potential in a safe and guarded environment. Away from my time spent at the school, I am a hands on, devoted father that enjoys family days out and exposing my children to new experiences. Travelling, trips to the coast, baking and enjoying nature being a few examples of what we get up to. On the rare occasions I am child free, I enjoy playing football, golf, mountain climbing and weekends away in the Lake District with my partner.’

Mr Archie Dodds

'I have been one of the governors of Osgodby Primary School for over 10 years. During that time I have performed various roles and at present am the governor responsible for reporting to the Board of Governors on the teaching of History and Science. I have known the school for a very long time as my younger son was educated at the school and I have lived in the village for over 40 years. I enjoy being a governor as it enables me to make a contribution to the life of the village and the two subjects that I have some responsibility for are ones that I am particularly interested in. Although now retired for most of my career I worked locally as a veterinary surgeon. During that time I tried to help several children who wished to become vets and this has led to an interest in and recognition of the importance of education. My main interests now are wildlife and local history.'

Mrs Jennifer Jacquest

I work for Lincolnshire County Council’s School Support Team as a Clerk to governing bodies for a number of schools in Lincolnshire.  I have been Clerk to Governors at Osgodby Primary School since 2024.  I have been welcomed into the school and enjoy supporting the Governing Body.
